Spring Mountain Motor Resort and Country Club is always on the podium.
With the longest track in North America at 6.1-plus miles, the 332-acre state-of-the-art racing facility and motorsports country club is conveniently just 55 miles west of downtown Las Vegas Club in Pahrump, Nevada.
“I wanted to create an environment that had a great track and superb facilities, so members and their families could both enjoy the experience,” says CEO and co-owner John Morris. “I think Club Spring Mountain does just that.”
More than a decade after Club Spring Mountain opened in 2004, Spring Mountain Motor Resort and Country Club continues to provide unrivaled facilities and track experiences for its members, explains Director of Marketing Todd Crutcher. “Racing on North America’s longest road course is an experience unlike anywhere else in the world.”
But Spring Mountain is not only a world-class racetrack; it is home to many resort-style, family-friendly amenities. And, now it can also be home.
Members and their guests can enjoy performance driving instruction, track, condo and garage rentals, track support, “arrive and drive” service, team-building activities and performance vehicle sales. A four-acre freshwater lake is also on property as well as an 8,000-square-foot clubhouse, a workout facility and a massage therapist.
The renowned Ron Fellows Performance Driving School is based here as well as the Cadillac V-Performance Academy and Spring Mountain Racing. Spring Mountain is also “The Official North American Distributor of Wolf Racing Cars.” And, Powertec America, Spring Mountain’s engine builder, is the first global authorized engine service center for Radical Sportscars Limited.
In addition, construction on more than 80 residential homes has begun for Club Spring Mountain members. A hotel and casino are also planned.
At Spring Mountain Estates, you can transform your automotive home-away-from-home into a physical one. “Imagine a trackside custom estate lot that allows you to enjoy track driving right outside your front door,” Crutcher says. “It’s the ultimate driver’s paradise.”
Join the Club
As a Spring Mountain Club member, you receive at least 16 track days per month on various track configurations spanning from the 6.1-mile course as well as access to on-site condo and garage rentals, track support, club racing and a personal concierge to facilitate every visit and more. And, you can attend any performance driving program while experiencing all benefits of membership.
Performance driving schools are scheduled for Corvette Stingray, Grand Sport, Z06 and ZR1, as well as for Cadillac’s ATS-V and CTS-V models. Additionally, Spring Mountain Racing services cars for Radical Sportcars and Wolf Racing Cars.
As a member of Club Spring Mountain, you can drive your car on the track, but if you are attending one of the performance driving schools, you must drive a Spring Mountain vehicle unless you are taking private instruction.
All levels of driving are accommodated. “Members who are just starting out can hire one of our professional driving instructors for coaching, but it is likely that a seasoned professional will spend one-on-one coaching time with them as well,” Crutcher explains, adding that members race against each other each month in different classes according to car type.
“Recently, I was introduced to the Wolf GB08SM Turbo and I am hooked! Spring Mountain Racing has been with me the entire way and has provided the support I’ve needed to take my driving to new levels,” says Club Spring Mountain member Ken Melgoza.
Ron Fellows established his performance driving school at Spring Mountain in October 2008. A world racing figure, he is a charter member of Corvette Racing and a multi-time driving champion and class winner in major long-distance sports car races. As a result, students benefit from his precision detailed curriculum, helping to take your driving performance to exhilarating levels. As he says, “It’s far more than simply going fast and learning when to turn and apply the throttle.”
The performance driving school maintains a highly personalized one-to-three instructor-to student ratio, which may increase to one-to-two or even one-to-one in other programs, maximizing your benefits, Crutcher explains. “Our professional driving instructors have backgrounds of various racing types, so you’re bound to find the best instructor to match your learning style.”
One recent graduate of the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School praised both car and school: “It was a fantastic learning experience, a very impressive program that exemplifies what an incredible sports car the Corvette has become,” says Scott Schmidt. “Way more capable than I knew –– and I own seven Corvettes!”
