Honored guests from the old-car hobby and the auto industry regularly participate. \nFeatured vehicle marques vary from year to year—such names as Packard\, Duesenberg\, Pierce-Arrow\, BMW\, Corvette\, Studebaker\, Bentley and Rolls-Royce. Special classes spotlight early Fords\, streamlined cars\, sports cars\, exotics\, race cars\, coachbuilt luxury marques plus significant unrestored and original automobiles. \nThe Ironstone Concours d’Elegance weekend begins with a Friday evening Cars & Stars wine tasting\, dinner and auction. The concours itself takes place on Saturday\, climaxed by an awards ceremony. Class winners drive onto the Ironstone Amphitheatre stage to receive their trophies. Among regular participants are Reno’s National Auto Museum\, the California Automotive Museum in Sacramento\, the Blackhawk Museum in Dublin and San Francisco’s Academy of Art University auto collection. \nProceeds from the Ironstone Concours d’Elegance benefit Central and Northern California youth in agriculture\, notably Future Farmers of America (FFA) and 4-H. SUMMARY:Ironstone Concours d’Elegance
DESCRIPTION:For 24 consecutive years the Ironstone Concours d’Elegance has been held on the 1100-acre estate of the Ironstone Vineyards Winery and Historic Museum in Murphys\, California; in the heart of the famous 1849 California Gold Rush.  The show features over 300 period-correct automobiles through 1973 including classic\, vintage\, antique and race cars\, vintage trailers and commercial/military vehicles as well as agricultural engines and a display of modern exotic cars.  Unique to Ironstone is the Pre-1920 race car rides on a dirt track\, Amphicar rides in the lake and a race car engine start. \nThe 25th anniversary event held in 2021 will feature a new addition of speaker forums for both race cars and classic cars with industry leadership addressing the spectators.​\n​\nProceeds from the Ironstone Concours d’Elegance benefit Central and Northern California youth in agriculture\, notably Future Farmers of America (FFA) and 4-H. In addition\, the non-profit Ironstone Foundation has helped fund the California State FFA headquarters in Galt\, California; scholarships in partnership with the California State Fair; and the Calaveras County Fair scholarship program. You’ll share a wonderful dinner around tables for eight\, hear a brief presentation about the concours and then join the lively auction to support the Ironstone Foundation’s charities. \nFriday\, September 27\, 2019\n​5:30 p.m. \nFor over 20 years\, the non-profit Ironstone Concours Foundation has presented the Ironstone Concours d’Elegance with the idea of attracting the finest examples of vintage and classic automobiles as well as vintage race cars\, trucks\, trailers\, housecars and military vehicles. Proceeds of the event go to promote and support youth in agriculture. More than $1 million has been raised for local Future Farmers of America (FFA) and 4-H youth activities.
