Approximately 200 of the world’s finest collector cars will be judged and awarded in 29 classes during the 69th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, Sunday, August 18, at The Lodge at Pebble Beach™, 1700 17-Mile Drive, Pebble Beach.

Held on the famed 18th fairway of Pebble Beach Golf Links, the Concours also hosts some of the world’s most anticipated concept cars and debuts. Celebrating its centennial year, Bentley, for example, will be revealing the 2020 Flying Spur.

The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is a contest of elegance, not speed, explains Kandace Hawkinson, spokeswoman for the event. “Vehicles at Pebble Beach are judged and awarded for style and technical merit, history, originality and the accuracy of their preservation or restoration,” she explains.

The Sunday, August 18, schedule: Viewers may enter the field at 5:30 a.m., and at 8:30 a.m., the judging begins. At 10:30 a.m., the field opens to general admission spectators, and from 1:30–5 p.m. the awards are presented.

Other events associated with the event include the Pebble Beach Motoring Classic, a 1,500-mile trip from Kirkland, Washington, to The Lodge at Pebble Beach, August 5–14.

On August 15, The Pebble Beach Tour d’Elegance presented by Rolex is a noncompetition rally along sections of 17-Mile Drive and historic Highway 1, with a stop in Carmel-by-the-Sea, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

And, the 15th Pebble Beach RetroAuto, at The Inn at Spanish Bay ballroom, 2700 17 Mile Drive, in Pebble Beach, is Saturday, August 17, 9:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m., featuring a curated collection of collectibles and automobilia as well as luxury goods and tools.

Finally, this year’s Pebble Beach Car Forum, also at The Inn at Spanish Bay, August 15–17, with session hours varying daily, features prominent automotive people discussing topics of concern to collectors.

The world-destination Concours raises approximately $2 million annually for local charities. Total donations to date have surpassed $27 million.

Ticket packages are still available. All Concours tickets and ticket packages are for this event only; they do not include admission to other car activities held during Pebble Beach Automotive Week. Some of these are nonticketed, while others may require a ticket.
