The 2018 Goodguys event season came to an end November 16th-18th in Scottsdale, Arizona, concluding the season with the 21st Southwest Nationals. The event was headlined by the Goodguys Top 12 winners from the 2018 season, attracting thousands of auto enthusiasts to see cool hot rods, customs, trucks, muscle cars, and classics through ’87.

Competing against a national field of 32 cars, driver Scott Fraser, defeated Robby Unser in the Duel in the Desert AutoCross competition, claiming the crown of Goodguys 2018 FAST AutoCrosser of the Year. Bruce Cambern’s original AC Cobra, with a new 820hp all-aluminum FE engine was used to help Fraser take winning place.

Aside from the cool cars and AutoCross action, other festivities consisted of the Nitro Thunderfest exhibitions, live music, a Burnout Contest, and the largest swap meet on the Goodguys calendar. Taking advantage of the warm, sunny weather, indoor and outdoor vendors reached a maximum capacity.

The fun and enjoyment was a great end to the season, and photos will have to suffice until the 2019 Goodguys season excitement kicks off in March. www.goodguys.com
