APEX Cup Debuts At 8th Annual Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships November 10 and 11

The Apex Cup, courtesy of the new Apex Motor Club, is coming to the 8th Annual Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships: Horses and Horsepower which takes place November 10th and 11th at WestWorld of Scottsdale. The addition brings yet another horsepower element to this signature event which already includes a preview of the Barrett-Jackson collector car auction as well as cars from the title sponsor, Bentley Scottsdale, and from numerous car clubs spanning the state. It is this wealth of horsepower that prompted the creation of the Apex Cup which will recognize the top cars on site. In addition to Barrett-Jackson and Bentley Scottsdale top cars will also come courtesy of car clubs such as Ferrari Club of Arizona, Porsche Club, Scottsdale Corvette Club, Arizona Classic Thunderbird Club, AZ Lamborghini Club, Corvette Club of America, as well as cars of Apex members and dozens of other Arizona car owners.


The Apex Motor Club is a natural fit for the Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships: Horses and Horsepower.

Located in the Town of Maricopa, The Apex Motor Club is a new 280-acre, $30 million development that will be the Valley’s first private automotive country club. Indeed, as the Apex Motor Club helps establish the Phoenix area as a destination for automobile enthusiasts, the Apex Cup further establishes the Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships as a premier event for those who love fast cars and fast horses.


Tickets, tables and tents to the Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships are on sale now at As in year’s past, ticketing options allow car lovers to spend the day parked field side.

There is General Sideline Parking allowing you to drive your car field side and enjoy the match from your tailgate. Spots are available on first-come, first-serve basis on event days. There is Premier Sideline Parking where spots will be reserved with your name. Drive your car field side and enjoy the match from your reserved tailgating spot in the best spot, mid-field. And there is Elite Sideline Parking, which is one of the best perches in Arizona sports. Spots will be reserved with your name allowing fans to enjoy the match from THE center-field tailgate spaces.

The Barrett-Jackson Champagne & Jazz Lounge makes its return. It is the only champagne bar on-site and includes covered tent near mid-field seating and complimentary mimosas through half-time of the first match and (1) complimentary mimosa thereafter. Tickets are $65 in advance.


This year’s Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships includes six matches over two days featuring some of the top players and teams in the country including a first-time appearance by Ralph Lauren model and world-famous polo player Nacho Figueras.

This year’s lineup features the Arizona Polo Club vs. Italy Polo Team, Palm Beach vs. Santa Ynez Wine Country, and Aspen Valley Polo Club (Defending Champs) vs Wales Polo Team. Saturday wraps up with Polo Azteca vs. Work To Ride.

And return Sunday for The Scottsdale Maserati Brunch, a family friendly day of polo featuring great food and two compelling matches, the Battle Of The Sexes: The Sunny Hale Memorial, celebrating the greatest female player of all time. An all-male team will take on an all-female one. The second match is The International featuring the best players from the weekend playing each other for the highest goal match of the event.


Attendees will also enjoy live DJ’s, a sneak preview of the 2019 Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show. And rugby makes its debut to the event this year with a rugby match taking place Saturday between the polo action. This year’s event will also feature “The World’s Longest Fashion Show” produced by Phoenix Fashion Week as well as the Arizona Humane Society Canine Couture: A Dog Fashion Show Like No Other, presented by Lugari Pet Salon. Other performances include The Phoenix Symphony (showcasing Mozart), Phoenix Theatre with some of the great Broadway musical songs of all time, bagpipes performance by Ford Dudley, Phoenix Opera and the Phoenix Boys Choir
