Mecum Auctions Returns to Glendale, Arizona, March 17-21

After an incredibly successful auction in Kissimmee, Florida, Mecum Auctions will return to the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona from March 17-21. Kissimmee 2026 proved to be a home run for “The World’s Largest Collector Car Auction,” with over $200 million in total sales for the fifth year in a row and $259 million in total sales on January 17, marking the highest single-day sales total in collector car auction history. The Bianco Speciale 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO, one of only 36 250 GTOs manufactured between 1962 and 1964, and one of the auction’s halo cars at Kissimmee, sold for a whopping $38,500,000. On the flip side, the Bachman Ferrari Collection, a stunning lineup of 46 Ferraris and two Alfa Romeos, sold for a total of $125 million, and also included record sales for several of the individual cars.

The upcoming Glendale 2026 auction will mark Mecum’s eighth time at State Farm Stadium, the only NFL stadium that hosts a collector car auction, with its inaugural 2019 auction setting a company-record of more than $39 million in sales. This year’s lots aim to continue the trend of setting records in the automotive auction space, with over 2,000 consignments, including 100 motorcycles. Those interested in taking one of those beauties home can purchase a standard bidder registration for $200, which includes bidder privileges and one guest badge for one calendar year. Even if you can’t make it to the auction in person but have your eye on a specific ride, Mecum offers internet and telephone bidding for those interested.

More of a window shopper? Opt for a spectator ticket at a cost of $22.50 when purchased online before the auction, or $30.00 on or after March 17. Children 12 and under receive complimentary admission. Admission to Mecum Auctions Glenade includes the Dodge Thrill Ride drifting course and car-themed youth activities in the Adventure Zone, including a Power Wheels course, slot car racing, and car decorating.

While it’s hard to pick specific head-turners from such a varied collection of consignments, there are a few that particularly caught our eye. For starters, Glendale bidders will have the rare opportunity to own a select few hot rods from the prized collections of the legendary Petersen Automotive Museum. These 1930s masterpieces have been sculpted by some of America’s most recognized automotive designers and customizers, including Boyd Coddington and Chip Foose, with four of them having earned the title of “America’s Most Beautiful Roadster.” Fans of classic muscle cars and Americana icons should also take a gander at the Retro Garage Collection, headlined by a 1-of-300 1953 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster and the George Barris-designed, 1-of-12, 1973 Lincoln Continental Mark IV Bugazzi.If you’re more into high-horsepower American legends, The Mile High Collection might be more your speed (pun intended). With icons like a 2025 Ford F-150 Raptor R and a real 1969 Dodge Daytona in the mix, there are plenty of opportunities to hit the pavement with a vengeance. Last, and more certainly not least, The John Lemmons Collection houses an eclectic mix of just about everything, including a 1-of-9,761 1954 Mercury Monterey Sun Valley, a 1984 Oldsmobile 98 Regency Sedan with acres of woodgrain and pillow-top seats, and one of the last bastions of full-size American luxury: a 2004 Lincoln Town Car Sedan Ultimate.
