The 788HS represents the most focused expression of that philosophy. That journey began with the 720S, evolved through the benchmark beating 750S and uncompromising 765LT, and now culminates in the 788HS – the definitive and final evolution of this award-winning supercar series.
The HS name ‘High Sport’ returns for only the third time in McLaren’s history, reserved for the rarest and most extreme series-production supercars. Limited to just 100 788HS and 100 788HS Spider examples worldwide, each will be individually curated through McLaren Special Operations.

Specifically developed for the 788HS, this advanced aerodynamic package features a multi-zone carbon fibre front splitter, S-Duct bonnet, raised active rear spoiler, louvred under-wing panel and Formula 1–inspired rear diffuser. Together, these components deliver a 10% increase in downforce versus the 765LT, contributing to exceptional stability and driver confidence at speed. Combined with McLaren’s carbon Monocage III and super-lightweight forged centre-lock wheels, it delivers exceptional stability and driver confidence whilst preserving the balance and usability that define a McLaren supercar.
FULLY CONNECTED
Captivating engagement is at the core of the 788HS. Carbon-ceramic brake discs derived from the McLaren Senna, paired with six-piston forged aluminium monoblock calipers and Formula 1-inspired integrated cooling ducts, deliver exceptional stopping power, pedal feel and remarkable consistency. Proactive Chassis Control III suspension features bespoke HS calibration and a front ride height 5mm lower than the 750S, enhancing body control, response and driver feedback to create the most connected and immersive driving experience of the series.
UNMATCHED POWER
At the heart of the 788HS sits McLaren’s 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8, featuring lightweight forged pistons, ultra-low inertia twin-scroll turbochargers and twin fuel pumps, producing 788PS and 800Nm of torque – the highest power output of any model in this acclaimed supercar series. With a lightest dry weight of just 1,265kg, it achieves a class-leading power-to-weight ratio of 623PS-per-tonne. Power is channelled through a 7-speed Seamless Shift Gearbox for immediate, unfiltered performance.
