The largest gathering of Mustang GTDs ever assembled, as recognized by Ford and Ford Performance, will feature rare Spirit of America and Liquid Carbon editions.
Automotive history is set to be made Saturday, November 7, 2026, as 20 Ford Mustang GTDs converge on Scottsdale for the highly anticipated AZ GTD TAKEOVER at the Highline Autos Cars & Coffee at High Street.
Sponsored by Sanderson Ford, this extraordinary gathering will bring together what Ford and Ford Performance have recognized as the largest assembly of Mustang GTDs to date — a remarkable milestone for one of the most exclusive, technologically advanced, and performance-focused Mustangs ever produced.
With a starting price exceeding $325,000, more than 800 horsepower, and engineering developed in collaboration with Multimatic, the Mustang GTD represents the pinnacle of Ford’s road-going performance ambitions. Designed with the singular purpose of competing against the world’s finest performance cars, the GTD incorporates racing-derived technology, advanced aerodynamics, and engineering inspired by the Mustang GT3 race car.
Eighteen of these extraordinary machines appearing together is an unprecedented spectacle.
Among the featured vehicles will be two particularly notable examples:
- Mustang GTD Spirit of America — A special edition celebrating American performance engineering, racing heritage, and Ford’s pursuit of automotive excellence.
- Mustang GTD Liquid Carbon — An exclusive expression of the GTD’s advanced engineering, featuring exposed carbon-fiber bodywork that showcases its remarkable construction and design.
The gathering has attracted the attention of Ford and Ford Performance, both of which are aware of the event and enthusiastic about seeing this unprecedented collection of GTDs assembled in one location.
A CELEBRATION OF OWNERSHIP, PERFORMANCE, AND COMMUNITY
Organized by members of the Mustang GTD Owners community, AZ GTD TAKEOVER represents much more than a traditional car show. It is a rare opportunity for owners of Ford’s flagship performance vehicle to come together, celebrate the Mustang legacy, and introduce the public to an automobile that bridges the worlds of exotic supercars and American motorsport.
The event also reflects the extraordinary enthusiasm surrounding the Mustang GTD and the growing community of owners committed to driving, sharing, and celebrating these remarkable machines.
Sanderson Ford, a respected name in Arizona’s automotive community, is proudly sponsoring the gathering, helping bring together owners and enthusiasts for this landmark occasion.
A ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME SIGHT FOR AUTOMOTIVE ENTHUSIASTS
For spectators, photographers, collectors, and automotive enthusiasts, the AZ GTD TAKEOVER presents a potentially once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see 18 examples of one of America’s most exclusive performance automobiles together.
Against the backdrop of Scottsdale’s vibrant automotive culture, the collection promises to be one of the most remarkable Mustang gatherings ever witnessed.
