A three-day gathering of cool cars, cool people and cool times (in the warm Arizona desert): The Goodguys 11th Spring Nationals Returns to West World of Scottsdale March 20–22.

Bringing together car lovers from throughout The United States, the event will showcase approximately 2,500 hot rods, customs, muscle cars, trucks and classics. The weekend will also feature Goodguys AutoCross racing, entertainment, a swap meet, a Cars 4 Sale Corral, 200 vendor exhibits, awards and more. All three days, gates open at 8 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday.

On Saturday, March 21, three-time Top Fuel Champion, Antron Brown, will appear with his 10,000-horsepower AB Motorsports Global Electronic Technology dragster, courtesy of the sponsoring company. He will sign autographs during meet-and-greet sessions at the Global Electronic Technology booth from 9:30–11 a.m. and again from 1:30–3 p.m.

The Goodguys AutoCross competition will run all three days, and on Saturday the AutoCross track will host the Spring Shootout presented by Auto Meter –– a four 4-car shootout event with PRO, PRO-X, Street Machine, Hot Rod and Truck classes.

The burnout competition and the Nitro Thunderfest dragster exhibition will also return this year.

The feature car club is The Dipsticks; all of the members’ cars will be parked together. “Car clubs are such an important part of the car culture, and we are excited to have them at the event,” says Harry Daviess, vice president of Event Operations for Goodguys, based in Pleasanton, California.

More than 70 awards will be given in categories such as Cool Corvette, Ford in a Ford, Hottest Hot Rod, Mighty Muscle, Trick Truck and more throughout each day of the event. Specialty awards, including Gary’s Pick, the Hottest Hot Rod, Trick Truck and more, will also be given. All registered participants are eligible to win, and different awards are chosen each day.

“We are thrilled to be back at WestWorld again for our 2020 season,” Daviess says. “The car culture in the Phoenix is so strong, and we love that we get to bring an event to this market and be a part of that culture.”
