Fifth AZ Jet Center Event is February 26 at Sawyer Aviation in Scottsdale
The AZ Jet Center Event takes place Saturday February 26, 2022, at Sawyer Aviation Private Hangars, 15035 North 73rd Street.
From 6 p.m.–10 p.m., guests will enjoy Sawyer’s charter and training aircraft, rare exotic and historic collector cars, live music from Notes from Neptune (NotesFromNeptune.com), fine art, high fashion, gourmet food and premium spirits and fine wines, hosted by Paul and Shannon Hoffman, owners of Desert Rock Winery & Distillery in the Airpark (desertrockin.com).
The Jet Center Foundation, a 501c(3) nonprofit, supports several groups. First, Wings of Humanity provides no-cost medical air transport for children, providing access to vital medical treatments at specialty children’s hospitals and facilities (wingsofhumanity.org). “With your commitment, the children are flown for life-saving critical care services to the best physicians and hospitals in the country,” says Katrina Couch, president of the Jet Center Foundation, whose principals also produce the world’s largest Italian car show, Concorso Italiano, every August as part of Monterey Car Week in California.
Next, Sol Dog Lodge, “for all dogs and the people who love them,” is a boarding and training center designed for people “to be as wonderful as their dogs think they are,” she explains. The group trains rescue dogs as service dogs to vets and provides temporary housing for pets whose owners are temporarily unable to care for them (soldoglodge.com).
In addition, Kettey’s Exchange for Children and Women Resources serves displaced women and children in Ghana and Mexico, securing counseling, housing, clothing and other essentials to sustain a better life (ketteysnonprofit.org).
Finally, Donor Network of Arizona registers organ donors. “Live on by registering as a donor so another person will live because of you,” Couch explains (dnaz.org). “Our family has been touched because others generously donated as the way to give life through their tragedy.”
