2011 Arizona Wheels of Italy
February 19, 2011 @ 2:00 am MST

From Alfa Romeo to Zagato, dozens of Italian cars, motorcycles and bicycles will be on display February 19 for the first annual “Arizona Wheels of Italy” event, to be held at the Scottsdale 101 shopping center at Scottsdale Rd. and Mayo Blvd.
The charity car show, presented by the Desert Region of the Ferrari Club of America, coincides with what would have been Ferrari founder Enzo Ferrari’s 113th birthday. This event is the Ferrari Club of America/Desert Region’s premier car show for the year, and will be held whether it rains or shines.
The show will present some of the most magnificent Italian vehicles to ever have been produced, including a rare Ferrari 599 GTO, along with other Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Maseratis, Panteras, Fiats, Lancias and Alfa Romeos. The show will also feature two and three-wheel motorcycles, scooters and bicycles from Ducati, Piaggio, and Colnago. The new and exciting Fiat 500, which goes on sale in the US this year, will also be present.
The event will benefit Arizona Camp Sunrise (www.azcampsunrise.org), a Northern Arizona camp for children with cancer and their siblings operated by the American Cancer Society.
Arizona Wheels of Italy will be open to spectators from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM Saturday, February 19, 2011. The event is open to the public and admission is free.
For owners of Italian vehicles wishing to participate, registration will be $50 per vehicle with all monies being donated directly to the camp. As an Italian vehicle registrant the $50 registration fee will qualify as a tax deductible charitable contribution and each registrant will receive a goody bag containing a $25 White Chocolate Grill gift card along with a Meguiar’s car care product and other items. All participants will be competing for the coveted People’s Choice Award as well as a Charity’s Choice Award.
To register or to obtain additional information, consult the Arizona Wheels of Italy website, www.azwoi.com. Credit cards and checks are accepted for vehicle registration.
Arizona Wheels of Italy takes place at the Scottsdale 101 shopping center, 7000 E Mayo Blvd, Scottsdale, at the northwest corner of Mayo Blvd. and Scottsdale Road directly in front of The White Chocolate Grill Restaurant, just south of the 101 Loop.
The Ferrari Club of America/Desert Region sincerely thanks its title sponsors, Scottsdale Ferrari and the White Chocolate Grill for their support.
