Barrett-Jackson Collection Showroom Offers Premium Vehicles Year Round
The Barrett-Jackson experience without the auction: That’s the Barrett-Jackson Collection Showroom, 3020 N. Scottsdale Road, just north of Thomas Road, Scottsdale.
Opened in November 2014, the 18,000-foot showroom and service center offers an always changing inventory of premium vehicles. Here, you can buy, sell, consign and have your vehicles serviced or repaired year round.
“The Barrett-Jackson Collection Showroom offers the same kind of quality vehicles and the same level of service and care for our customers that has become expected at our auctions over the last 45 years,” says Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of the Scottsdale, Arizona-based Barrett-Jackson, The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auction®.
Established in 1971, Barrett-Jackson holds annual auctions in Scottsdale; Palm Beach, Florida; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Mohegan Sun in Connecticut.
The Showroom also has a dedicated service department, overseen by ASE-certified mechanic Jeff Catlin, a nine-year Barrett-Jackson employee who is also the Showroom Division Manager. He is assisted by a team of eight, who handle service, sales and administration.
“Our service department is the perfect choice for car owners looking for excellent repair, maintenance and light reconditioning of not only their collector cars but their modern specialty cars as well,” Catlin says.
The Barrett-Jackson Collection Showroom typically displays about two dozen cars in their inventory and changes them regularly. Among the current classics are a 1989 Porsche 930 Turbo, a 1974 Pontiac Trans Am Super Duty 455 and a 1965 Chevrolet Corvette convertible.
The Porsche 930 Turbo has the late-year G50 5-speed transmission and matching engine. Canadian race car driver Peter Thomson ordered this white-on-black beauty with XA8 rocker panels and XB7 air ducts in the rear fenders for brake cooling but deleted the slant nose front fascia, making this a particularly rare factory car.
Proudly showing its funnel-shaped “power blister” air scoop, the Corvette features its original 396/425-horsepower engine backed by a 4-speed transmission. Completely restored in 2009, it has the original Nassau Blue on blue interior and a new white soft-top. Factory side pipes are included, as well as Kelsey knockoff wheels with Goldline tires.
The Trans Am Super Duty has its original, matching-numbers SD-455 engine and 3-speed Turbo 400 automatic transmission –– a last chance at the time to own a factory General Motors big-block muscle car. With a recent rotisserie restoration, it’s refinished in the original Buccaneer Red with white interior and has factory air conditioning. Just 731 automatic Firebird Trans Am Super Duty cars were produced.
The Scottsdale Showroom also offers detailing and reconditioning services, restoration system products, apparel and merchandise, and Barrett-Jackson-endorsed insurance.
“Since my dad, Russ, and Tom Barrett began what is today’s company 45 years ago, our reputation has been built on selling world-class vehicles and specializing in providing products and services to astute classic and collector car owners and enthusiasts around the world,” Jackson says. “Our Barrett-Jackson Collection Showroom is another outstanding example of this.”
The Showroom is open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. −5 p.m. and Sunday by appointment.
