Frank Aazami’s Featured Listing
Put down your new roots in this 7,921-square-foot home, 1464 North Citrus Cove Circle, on an acre-plus cul-de-sac lot in the Legacy subdivision of The Groves, developed on pioneer citrus fields in Mesa.
Micela Properties of Mesa designed the Savant smart home and built it in 2015 for a former Major League Baseball player. The gated luxury property includes five bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms in one of the most desirable communities in the East Valley, with easy access to Loop 202 and U.S. 60.
“The builder has verified $6 million in build cost, so this an opportunity to obtain a one-owner home at much less than the initial outlay,” says Frank Aazami, a Realtor® and principal of the Private Client Group, Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty in Scottsdale. “The Contemporary/ Transitional home offers the trendiest styling with a resort-style backyard and plenty of room to entertain inside and out.”
“This is the Arizona lifestyle at its finest in a former citrus grove that is simply fragrant in the springtime,” says David Arustamian, also a Realtor with Russ Lyon Sotheby’s, who is co-brokering the home with Aazami. “You have everything you could possibly need for luxury living: a fully equipped gym, media room and resort-level amenities. And, it has everything you could need for entertaining your guests.”
Outside are a negative-edge heated pool/spa, a basketball/ sport court, a built-in BBQ, a pool cabana, misting system, fireplace and firepit, a courtyard water feature, covered dining patio and low-maintenance synthetic grass in the back yard.
“You can’t go wrong when you have room to roam and play with your kids or dogs; there’s even a side yard dedicated for your dogs to run around,” Arustamian says.
He adds that most of the bedrooms have convenient outside access, including the separate guest quarters for in-laws and guests. This space includes a living room, fully equipped kitchen, wet bar and laundry room.
The master suite has a private courtyard with a wood-burning fireplace and individual walk-in closets, and the luxurious his-and-hers master bathroom has separate sinks, a bidet, private toilet room, a four-headed walk-in shower and a free-standing bathtub.
“The spacious home gym goes above and beyond and has ceiling fans for generous air flow, which is very important to any active person in Arizona,” Arustamian explains.
Other rooms include an executive office, formal dining room with an all-glass wine room display, a media /theater room with electric recliners, butler’s pantry, a trophy space for displaying memorabilia, a mud room for keeping shoes and coats organized and a laundry room with a high-efficiency 220-volt dryer. To ease accessibility and movement inside, the home features a zero-grade entry and 36-inch-wide hallways.
Centered by an island designed for entertaining, the gourmet kitchen has 220-volt service to power the electric range/oven and wall ovens, and gas service powers another range/ oven and cook-top. A reverse osmosis system is in place. In addition, walk-in pantry has ample space for your provisions, and a breakfast bar flexes for quick meals any time of the day.
The extended-depth four-door garage includes a drive-through bay, an RV gate, overhead doors, epoxy flooring, cabinets, windows and an air-conditioned storage room. A separate workshop is also included. Your guests will have generous parking with 10 slab spaces outside. And, you can enter the home directly from the garage. “It’s every man’s dream man cave,” Arustamian notes.
Aligned north/south, the energy-efficient home is block-constructed and finished with EIFS synthetic stucco. The roof is low-maintenance tile. A programmable thermostat controls the heating/cooling system, which is ENERGY STAR® rated. Other utility-minded features are dual-pane, vinyl-frame windows with sunscreens and mechanical sun shades. Tankless hot-water heaters provide immediate service.
Other luxury features are skylights, vaulted ceilings, a central vacuum, wet bar, fire sprinklers, three fireplaces and a security system.
“The interior has been beautifully finished in a very contemporary-look white marble with black detailing, so the new owners can easily adapt their tastes with that,” Aazami explains. “The owner, for example, has placed beautiful blue furnishings against this for color splash and panache.”
For nearby recreation, The Groves community features a biking/walking path, a children’s playground and tennis courts. The city’s Cooley Park, with a softball field, is close by, and for more adventure, Usery Mountain Regional Park has miles of trails to enjoy the lush Sonoran Desert.
Your children can attend Mesa Unified District schools: Hale Elementary; Stapley Junior High; and Mountain View High. Or, a number of fine charter schools operate in Mesa and nearby Gilbert and Chandler.
Aazami: “Don’t miss out. Call us for an appointment for a walkthrough. This one is one of one.”
