“Once again, the Concours will be an upscale lifestyle event featuring rare and fascinating vehicles staged on the grass, with entrants and spectators, some in period costumes, strolling the lawns under the sparkling-blue Arizona sky,” said Ed Winkler, who serves as co-chairman of the Arizona Concours, along with Chuck Stanford Jr.

The Arizona concours is presented in partnership with Scottsdale Arts, the organization responsible for an array of artistic services in the city.

“We are looking forward to another great event featuring these rolling works of art, with Scottsdale Civic Center serving as a magnificent backdrop,” said Gerd Wuestemann, PhD, president and CEO of Scottsdale Arts.

“Scottsdale has long been a car lovers’ paradise, and the Arizona Concours is a great reflection of that.”

Fifteen judged classes have been chosen for the 2026 Concours, with awards presented in each class, along with special awards and the two coveted Best of Show trophies – one for pre-World War II and one for Post-War. There are also special awards for period costumes worn by spectators and entrants.

Special classes range from the 140th anniversary of Mercedes-Benz, the event’s featured marque, to a class for dune buggies and beach cruisers. Other classes include those for historic motorcycles, nostalgic mid-century station wagons, European sports/racing cars, American-powered performance cars, and exotic supercars from 2000 through 2025.

Among the magnificent Mercedes-Benz automobiles that will be shown at the Arizona Concours are these examples that signify highlights of 140 years of performance and innovation:

1886 Patent-Motorwagen – A totally accurate working replica of the first Benz and what is generally considered the world’s first production automobile.

1931 Mercedes-Benz 38/250 SSK – A rare and very original road-going version of the formidable supercharged race car.

1939 540K Roadster – This wonderful example of Mercedes’ exceptional sports/touring car, serial no. 408383, was one of the last produced, ordered with a custom body by a wealthy art dealer.

2002 CLK-GTR Roadster – One of just six Roadsters built by AMG from the extraordinary GT1 race car, in absolutely like-new condition.

2025 AMG One – One of the greatest hyper-performance sports cars of the modern age, the AMG One is the result of Mercedes’ effort over 8 years to create a street-legal Formula 1 car. Just 275 are being produced.

Proceeds from the Arizona Concours benefit local artists and art programs through partnership with Scottsdale Arts, as well as the Concours’ longtime beneficiary, Make-A-Wish® Arizona, the founding chapter of the national organization that grants wishes for children facing life-threatening medical conditions.

The Arizona Concours not only raises money for Make-A-Wish but gets some of the Wish Kids involved in judging the cars and awarding a specially designed trophy to their favorite. Last year’s winner was a bright-yellow 2003 Ferrari Enzo.
