American Speed Festival At M1 Concourse is September 30 – October 3

American Speed Festival (ASF) is an international celebration of speed featuring the Past, Present, and Future cars, and stars. Each day features unique motorsports experiences and culinary adventures. The new event will showcase excellence in automotive engineering and design and celebrate driving at speed, including the thrill of motorsport competition. With more than 200 distinguished automobiles all by invite only and drawn from collections worldwide, ASF combines world-class auto exposition with live racing action on M1 Concourse’s 1.5-mile road course, Champion Motor Speedway.

Time Trials in the Speed Ring Friday and Saturday, October 1 and 2
High-speed on-track activity for past, present, and future race, and performance vehicles, utilizing the M1 Concourse “Speed Ring” for single-car time trials, as well as guest appearances, autograph sessions, and Q&A sessions and seminars.

Exposition Sunday, October 3
Speed Festival Exposition is a judged competition of the best of the best car classes during the weekend and a chance for enthusiasts to get up close to some of the most significant cars in North America and the world.

Among the Special Guests
Motorsports Hall of Fame racing innovator Jim Hall will be honored at the event with the first “Master of Motorsports” award. Jim Hall is truly legendary for the advancements he made to racing in aerodynamics and engineering advancements. He changed the way street and track vehicles were conceived and realized.

Checkered Flag Ball Saturday, October 2
Presented by Checkered Flag Challenge, the philanthropic component of M1 Concourse, this inaugural event will support M1 Mobility – a new initiative in partnership with Pontiac Community Foundation to provide transportation solutions that connect residents with the needed services from local organizations.

The Ball will welcome 300 guests to celebrate the world of elite Motorsports. Guests will be among the first to experience the new M1 Event Center, and enjoy a sit-down dinner, exceptional wines, and spirits. They will dance to music by Ben Sharkey and enjoy the After Party overlooking the track. Racing legend Jim Hall will be honored at the event emceed by David Hobbs.

Dine in Style
At American Speed Festival you won’t find any concession stands. All festival passes include food, beverage, and parking. Guests are treated to a vast array of gourmet entrées and fine libations throughout the weekend.

Friday, October 1 ASF Garage Reveal
M1 is the nation’s largest private garage community. This is a unique opportunity to peek inside some of the most extraordinary built-out garages and meet the enthusiasts that own these beautiful cars. The evening includes a trip along a “Bourbon Trail” with tastings, pairings of food, wine, and spirits.

These events are ticketed separately as is the Checkered Flag Ball.
