Takes Place in New West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center June 17–19
Barrett-Jackson returns to Nevada June 17–19 for its 2021 Las Vegas Auction in the just-opened $989-million West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The three-day docket will feature hundreds of collectible cars and many pieces of automobilia, and attendees will also enjoy the Exhibitor Marketplace and sponsors’ displays. Just outdoors from the auction, they can take Hot Laps with professional drivers in today’s performance vehicles at the Barrett-Jackson Performance Track.
Below the $ 1.4-million-square-foot West Hall is Elon Musk’s hyperloop, which in seconds transports visitors sitting in all-electric Teslas through the 200-plus acre LVCC campus.
“Moving our Las Vegas Auction to the newly expanded LVCC is an exciting new chapter in the history of our company and the collector car hobby,” says Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Scottsdale-based Barrett-Jackson, The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions. “The extraordinary new West Hall offers the perfect blend of ample indoor and outdoor space with the latest technology that complements our commitment to the health and safety of our guests.”
“We are pleased to welcome Barrett-Jackson back to Las Vegas and to the LVCC as one of the first shows to take place in our new West Hall expansion,” adds Brian Yost, chief operating officer of the LVCVA. “Las Vegas and its resort partners continue to implement stringent health and wellness protocols to keep visitors safe while in the destination and we are eager to welcome our valued customers, exhibitors and attendees.”
Early consignments represent the period and model variety Barrett-Jackson is known for, with an emphasis on today’s robust Resto-Mod market. These include a 1941 Willys Custom Convertible, with a handcrafted fiberglass body and powered by a stack-injected 454-ci V-8 and automatic transmission. Also to be offered is a blue 1956 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz, one of just 2,150 built, featuring a 365-ci OHV V-8 and a 4-speed Hydramatic transmission.
The muscle-car 1960s are represented by a 1965 Ford Mustang Custom Fastback powered by a 600-plus-horsepower 427-ci Roush engine and a 6-speed manual riding on a contemporary suspension system, and an unrestored 1966 Chevrolet Corvette, with the original 427-ci/390-horse V-8 and 4-speed manual transmission.
And, to benefit the Honor Flight Network, a 1956 Chevrolet 150 United States Army transport car in mostly original condition will be sold as a charity vehicle. Its 216-ci inline-6 is connected to a 3-speed manual transmission.
“We truly missed connecting with our collector car family last year in Las Vegas,” says Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. “That’s why we’re so excited to return this year at a new venue that promises to deliver the Barrett-Jackson experience with an unbelievable docket of collector cars.”
