A Serene Boutique Hotel on the Shores of the Sea of Cortez
Nestled within the opulent grounds of the JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach Resort & Spa, Casa Maat sets the standard for what a boutique hotel should be. With residential-like designs by famed architect Jim Olson, the 45 richly-appointed rooms at Casa Maat are designed to keep you relaxed and revitalized while you enjoy the intimate proximity to the Puerto Los Cabos beach. The design of the hotel is closely intertwined with its surroundings, echoing its desert surroundings while also framing the looming Pacific Ocean from the moment you step inside.
Given Casa Maat’s proximity to San Jose del Cabo, we’ve curated a selection of activities nearby to enrich your stay further. In addition to the city’s authentic Mexican downtown area and high-energy nightlife scene, San Jose del Cabo offers an exquisite variety of activities. For starters, marine enthusiasts will love the whale-watching tours or fishing trips in the waters of what French oceanographer and filmmaker Jacques Cousteau called “The Aquarium of the World.” Those seeking more land-based adventures will be thrilled by a visit to the historic Misión San José del Cabo or a breathtaking game of golf at one of three courses designed by Greg Norman and Jack Nicklaus.
If, on the other hand, you’re looking to spend a relaxing day away from the hustle and bustle of the city, you will find ample amenities and activities within Casa Maat. These range from private poolside cabanas and an extensive art collection featuring works by several world-renowned artists to the cozy fire pits of Mayma Lounge, or even our game room, if family fun is on your agenda. Lastly, the Jasha Spa and Salon focuses on natural ways to heal the mind, body, and soul, drawing inspiration from the surrounding botanical garden to power its 12 treatment rooms, outdoor garden and patio, vitality pools, indoor pool, and private Jacuzzis. The property will also feature a modern interpretation of a “temazcal,” a traditional Mexican sweat lodge used by the ancient Aztecs as a therapeutic tool.
Or, perhaps you lead an athletic lifestyle and desire top-of-the-line facilities to maintain your physique while away from home. If that’s the case, you’ll find what you’re looking for and more in our luxurious and complimentary yoga garden-facing Mimah Fitness Center, or one of our four complimentary pools, each with its own features and benefits.
Similarly, finding a place to eat becomes a thing of the past thanks to Casa Maat’s numerous celebrated eateries, including Cafe des Artistes, Auka Deli, the Niparaya Bar, MarHumo, Ua Culinary Artisans, El Luchador, and our poolside Kaha Bar. Regardless of what you’re in the mood for, there is something on offer for even the most discerning of palettes. We are also proud to offer our signature Butler Service, where our dedicated staff will take care of your every need to make you feel right at home within our grounds.
