The second Camelback Vintage Motor Show, Saturday, October 19, 3–6 p.m., returns to the Camelback Bible Church, 3900 East Stanford Drive, across from Phoenix Country Day School in Paradise Valley, Arizona.
This show will be a Deutsche Auto Fest showcasing German cars 1985 and before. Among the car groups expected is the Mercedes-Benz Club of America (MBCA). A selection of 2020 models from local dealerships is also planned. In a matching culinary spirit, the Eur Haus German food truck, an event sponsor, will be on site.
“I am very much looking forward to our second show as we celebrate the retro cars of Germany,” says the event’s founder, Scottsdale resident West Kenyon, who notes that the successful debut show in April hosted 300 guests and 70 cars.
The event is limited to 120 cars, and the $25 vehicle Entry Fee will again be donated to Hope Women’s Center, which in 2018 served more than 1,600 women and their families with programs to help support physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
“We are so grateful to partner with the Camelback Vintage Motor Show again and we are excited to partner again for the October event,” says the center’s founder, Tammy Abernathy.
Sponsoring the event are Barrett-Jackson, Hagerty, Highline Autos, Camelback Bible Church, Patrick Motor Sports, Flo’s, Acclaim Collector Car & Transmission, Palacios Upholstery, Biltmore Pro Print, Repro Parts, Mosbrucker Mileage Towing, Santucci Orthodontics, Pinnacle Peak Eye Care, Mitch’s Econo Lube, Signarama, Street Side Classics and Edelweiss German Restaurant.
“Being involved in the local car scene is a big part of our heritage and who we are as a company today,” says Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Scottsdale-based Barrett-Jackson. “Like many of the grassroots auto shows in the area, we started off as a small community event back in 1967. So supporting events like the Camelback Vintage Motor Show’s Deutsche Auto Fest runs deep in our DNA. We couldn’t be more honored to help the Auto Fest spread the excitement of the car culture with enthusiasts right in our own backyard.”
“After the success of the Camelback Motor Show last April, we are very excited to partner with the Camelback Vintage Motor Show again,” says Sam Power, Regional Territory Manager – Arizona for Traverse City, Michigan-based Hagerty Insurance Agency LLC.
“It is our pleasure to be working alongside West on this all-German car show,” notes James Patrick, owner of Patrick Motorsports in Phoenix.
And, Brain Graff, publisher of Scottsdale-based Highline Autos, says, “Our magazine celebrates the car industry and the people who make it special, and we’re honored to be part of the second Camelback Vintage Motor Show.”
Public admission is free.
