Barrett-Jackson is preparing for an unforgettable start to 2025 with its highly anticipated Scottsdale Auction, set to take place from January 18-26 at WestWorld of Scottsdale, in Arizona. This premier nine-day automotive lifestyle event is regarded by many as the kickoff to the collector car season, showcasing an impressive lineup of the most sought-after collectible vehicles and authentic automobilia.
Anticipated highlights include a 1969 Pontiac Firebird custom coupe built by BBT Fabrications, which won the Barrett-Jackson Cup Best in Show in 2023 and holds the East Coast Timing Association record for 1-Mile and 2K Class RS8/7TG with 200.3 and 213 mph, respectively. Adding to the excitement is a 2022 Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae, one of only 350 built, offered with No Reserve from the Gilstrap Collection, which includes a total of 21 No Reserve supercars and classics. Additionally, a 2019 Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake, numbered 26 of just 99 made globally and one of only 11 in the U.S., promises to be a star in the lineup of supercars offered in January.
“We’re deep into preparing for our flagship event and are going full throttle, planning more interactive exhibits, live music ‒ including a kick-off concert on Friday, January 17 ‒ and, of course, a docket full of some of the most coveted collectible vehicles in the world,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “We will be welcoming rock ‘n’ roll hall of famer Sammy Hagar as the headliner for our ‘Rock the Block’ concert on the 17th. Sammy is truly one of the most iconic rock stars of our time, and he puts on an unforgettable show” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson.
The “Rock the Block” concert, which will be held in the auction arena the evening of Friday, January 17, will feature Sammy Hagar and Friends: Michael Anthony, Vic Johnson and Kenny Aronoff. Known for hit songs like “I Can’t Drive 55,” “Dreams,” “Summer Nights” and “When It’s Love,” Sammy Hagar and Friends promises to be an unforgettable experience to start off the nine incredible days of the auction.
The 2025 Scottsdale Auction opens with Family Day on Saturday, January 18, where children 12 and under enjoy free admission with a ticketed adult. Family Day will feature hands-on activities from STEM-focused organizations, including Barrett-Jackson’s “Gearing Towards the Future” initiative, developed in partnership with the SciTech Institute. STEM Fest is presented by Honeywell and is included with admission.
The first Saturday will also showcase 50 contenders for the Barrett-Jackson Cup competition, presented by Castrol, that will parade across the auction block, with custom builders Bobby Alloway and Troy Trepanier serving as judges. These competing vehicles will be on display all week, inviting auction attendees to participate in the “People’s Choice” vote via social media. Each day, a top five finalist will be unveiled, building anticipation for the grand finale on Saturday, January 25, when the “People’s Choice” and “Ultimate Best in Show” awards will be presented along with a $20,000 cash purse.
“From one of the most diverse dockets filled with vehicles for every type of collector to Thrill Rides in the latest sports cars, trucks and SUVs from top manufacturers, we will ring in 2025 the Barrett-Jackson way,” said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. “Everyone should plan to join us and discover why Barrett-Jackson has earned the reputation as being the ultimate automotive lifestyle event.”
