garageONE Scottsdale
Luxury Car-Condos on a Mission
by David M. Brown

garageONE Scottsdale is second to none for luxury automotive condos.

And now, the premiere community for car collectors is helping provide mobility to needy persons through its Wheels 4 Wheels Campaign.

"garageONE is, in every respect, a one-of-a-kind facility - one-of-a-kind car storage, one-of-a-kind amenities, one-of-a-kind location, one-of-a-kind mission, one-of-a-kind period," says the Newport Beach, Calif. company's owner and founder, Jeff Weber.

These incomparable spaces are scheduled to arrive in the Scottsdale Airpark sometime next year. On a discreet cul-de-sac at 83rd Place, south of Raintree Drive, garageONE Scottsdale sits conveniently between the Scottsdale Airport and the Loop 101 - providing owners quick access to the freeway as well as to the Scottsdale Airport.

Jeff is taking reservations for the 14 condominiums, specifically designed for the discriminating car collector. A tiered pricing program offers significant discounts.

In addition, when you purchase a garageONE Scottsdale condominium, you will participate in the Wheels 4 Wheels Campaign for the Free Wheelchair Mission, based in Irvine, Calif. For each unit purchased, garageONE will provide 80 new wheelchairs to needy persons in developing countries.

"Our commitment for the Scottsdale program is 1,100- plus wheelchairs," explains Jeff, who was introduced to the program five years ago by a friend, who is the medical director at the Free Wheelchair Mission. "With this program, which we began, we are enlisting enthusiasts from the car and
racing worlds to lift people off the ground and give them wheels to get around," Jeff says. "We are hoping to set an example and involve the entire car community. We love our cars and have the wherewithal to do so. Let's share our blessings with other people, so that they can enjoy the many opportunities of life."

Car collectors told Jeff what they wanted in a luxe garage. "The era of the traditional car garage is over," he explains. "Today's car aficionados want a place where they can show their cars, work on them and meet in an upscale atmosphere with friends and other automotive buffs. garageONE Scottsdale is that place."

The development will comprise two one-story buildings totaling approximately 29,000 square feet. Its 14 highly amenitized condominiums will provide luxurious storage for automobiles, motorcycles and other "toys" and collectibles as well as spacious 460-square-foot mezzanines for gatherings and storage.

"We will move forward with construction once the economy gets ‘tuned up' a bit," Jeff explains. "We've cooled down our engines for just a while." Just a while, though: With planning approvals from the city of Scottsdale in place, Jeff is obtaining grading and building permits and expects to begin construction the middle of 2009 and deliver the units that fourth quarter.

garageONE Scottsdale will balance security with attractiveness. Quasi-porte-cocheres will offer shading for the architectural-block building, and metal awnings will provide additional solar protection. In general, the design and palette will celebrate a Southwestern motif. Outside, desert landscaping will also reaffirm this sense of place - even in the industrially zoned 2,900-acre Scottsdale Airpark.
